When by the strength of Truth and his virtuous deeds
A good and pious man vanquishes foul deceit,
Brings to light the harm that falsehood breeds,
And with Thy help defeats all lies.
Then all will greet Thee as the sovereign Lord
And the world will understand Thou art supreme
For humans to worship there's none but you,
All will rejoice to see the glory of Thy holy beam
Their faithful love for Thee their hearts will reflect
Their hearts will reflect their faithful love for Thee.
When will that happy time arrive, O Lord,
Instruct One, for Thou knowest everything
Then triumphant Truth will in safety thrive,
And falsehood its own destruction bring,
Then the happy world will Thy praises sing,
And may that propitious day be early seen,
We fondly cling to that consoling hope,
Then our minds are enlightened and our hearts are cleaned
For on Thy support alone we calmly lean.
O Gracious God, from you all bounties flow,
You spread prosperity in every land,
You bestow your precious gifts on good and holy men,
Teach them Thy word so they may understand,
Its soothing virtues, its potent spells,
Give them sound wisdom to make them worthy guides,
They show the way to Thy religious grand
That rests on Truth and in purity confides,
Providing strength and comfort for the soul in time.
An honest man blessed with a pious mind,
Maintains religion pure by word and deed,
To help all his soul is forever inclined,
To everyone he is a friend in deed,
His faith is firmly fixed on Mazda's creed,
He observes its laws throughout his life.
He does not heed the tempting voice of sin,
And thus at last he gets what e deserves.
May the good and pious over us hold sway
Endearing themselves by their just and kindly rule,
And cruel despots go far away,
Of such unkind chiefs the world be cleared
On the path of virtue let us dauntlessly tread,
And guide our followers with tender care,
No tyrant and no robber need we dread,
And with honest labour earn our bread.
Our precious animals are in our care,
Our kindness and support they will deserve,
Tis they who give us all our strength and health,
Tis they who nourish us - our lives preserve,
They brace and fortify our brawn and nerve
Tis for them did Almighty God at first create,
Green grass which as their sweet fodder serves.
Tis by their help that we maintain our state,
To pursue the path of Truth that makes us great.
If through Truth to virtue you wish to stick,
Then first suppress the dark demon of wrath,
To drive out hate and strife you must be quick,
To successfully gain the pureness of your heart.
Almighty God will all your efforts bless,
Your singleness of mind seeks no rewards,
For welfare of the world you onward press,
And your rewards Mazda will accord,
Because you serve him truly as your Lord.
O God, you have divulged to me Thy holy will
And explained to me how to serve Thee best,
Now I my destined duties will fulfil,
Now that I have received Thy blessed inspiration.
More light on all these points I Thee request,
For purity of all souls I pray to Thee,
And upon Thy guidance I completely rest,
Let true and brave disciples favour me
That we may free the world from vice.
O God,who in Thy creation rules supreme,
Illuminate my mind with Thy celestial light ...
Of Truth - immaculate and sublime.
Tell me the fate of those who pass their time
On the path of Truth and virtue , free from crime,
This knowledge will enable me to gain,
Followers true from every land and clime,
Who will the honour of Thy word maintain,
Preach it and broadcast it with their might and main.
True men to sense and judgement now will come,
To drive away the arrogant and proud,
That had turned the world into a dismal slum,
Plunged it in grief and enshrouded it in shame,
Till in agony of heart it cried aloud,
To stop the deceivers and tyrants from spreading havoc
On the earth which is wrapped up in a pall of cloud
To stop its daily fleecing - a helpless prey to greed
May all valiant guides stand up for its repair.
O God, soon shall we perfect truth attain,
May the home of perfect bliss soon shall we get,
Contentment, peace and joy soon shall we gain
Now no more pain shall we suffer
And be free from sweat and toil if we so choose,
I know the Soshiants are coming for our relief,
And they will make us all our woes forget,
Of any heavy grief they will rid us
That Thou has sent them is my sure belief.
